Job Summary

Own HP Personal Systems’ competitive intelligence for the edge AI shift—tracking who is winning and how software and hardware trends affect strategy. Lead a small team to run continuous competitor and financial performance analyses, maintain a live AI/edge ecosystem POV, and translate signals into decision-ready insights for senior executives. Build intelligence tooling and scenario/wargaming exercises, while leading and developing analysts.

Key Responsibilities

•Run deep, continuous competitor analysis and maintain living intelligence on the competitive set and emerging challengers, covering roadmaps, AI positioning, go-to-market, partnerships, and pricing changes.
•Benchmark business and financial performance, including leading quarterly earnings analysis and performance comparisons across the competitive set.
•Maintain POV on the AI ecosystem and edge-AI landscape across the full stack, including models/software, devices, and edge AI enablers; develop and defend a point of view on on-device workload transitions.
•Convert insights into concise, decision-ready briefings for executive leadership and support strategy projects with research, analysis, testing, and presentations.
•Lead and develop a team of four analysts (including scenario/war-gaming exercises and building AI-augmented intelligence tooling, data pipelines, and a shared knowledge base).

Key Requirements

•8+ years in competitive intelligence, corporate or competitive strategy, equity research, management consulting, or product/market strategy, ideally touching technology hardware, semiconductors, or software.
•Strong working knowledge of the AI landscape across software and hardware models, on-device/edge AI, NPUs and accelerators, and the AI PC ecosystem.
•Financial and analytical fluency to interpret earnings calls and 10-Qs and understand unit economics, margins, and mix.
•Exceptional verbal communication with the ability to distill complexity for senior executives up to president level.
•Demonstrated people leadership, including managing and developing analysts or associates and setting direction and quality bar.
