Key Responsibilities

  • •Create purchase requisitions and rationalize inventory positions to optimize corporate working capital.
  • •Evaluate existing suppliers and recommend new suppliers based on needs and performance.
  • •Support RFQ and RFP processes to determine commodity prices and the length of strategic agreements.
  • •Issue purchase orders and follow up to expedite deliveries as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent education and experience.
  • •Communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral formats.
  • •Strong planning, organization, and execution skills.
  • •Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems and proficiency with Internet, spreadsheets, Word, and Excel.
  • •P.M., A.P.P. or APICS certification, plus strong negotiation skills and understanding of production planning within an MRP system.
