Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate, monitor, and inspect transmission equipment, substations, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, isolators, protection systems, and associated electrical assets.
  • •Conduct routine field inspections to identify abnormal conditions and report faults, alarms, leaks, overheating, or other operational issues.
  • •Perform authorized switching, isolation, and restoration activities according to approved procedures, permits, and switching programs.
  • •Support preventive and corrective maintenance, including safe equipment isolation, testing, inspection, and restoration to service.
  • •Ensure HSE compliance (including PTW and electrical safety), maintain operational documentation, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with control room, maintenance, engineering, and contractors.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Power Systems, or related discipline.
  • •3–7 years of experience in electrical transmission, substations, power generation, renewable energy, or utilities.
  • •Knowledge of HV/EHV electrical systems and substations, including transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars, and protection components.
  • •Experience working with shift-based operations and high-voltage switching.
  • •Familiarity with Permit to Work and electrical isolation procedures (including Lockout/Tagout) and basic troubleshooting/fault-finding skills.
