Job Summary

Own the organization’s data privacy strategy and compliance framework for NDPA 2023 and other applicable data protection laws. Lead governance, policy development, privacy training, and routine privacy audits, and coordinate external regulatory audits with the DPCO. Serve as the primary liaison to NDPC and other regulators, manage DPIAs with internal stakeholders, and oversee data breach response and incident/query resolution. Ensure IT systems and data processing activities meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement a data privacy governance framework, including Binding Corporate Rules, to manage data use in line with NDPA 2023.
•Set standards, formulate policies, and establish procedures to meet NDPA 2023 and other relevant data protection requirements.
•Ensure stakeholder awareness by informing employees, third-party processors, vendors, and data subjects of rights, obligations, and responsibilities.
•Act as primary liaison to NDPC, regulators, financial institutions, and customers on privacy and protection matters.
•Oversee data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs), privacy audits, breach response coordination, and resolution of queries, complaints, claims, and notifications.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree in information security or law is highly preferred.
•Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data protection and compliance with deep operational understanding of NDPA and other data protection laws.
•Demonstrated ability to manage data privacy in complex organizations, including executing data protection audits, leading DPIAs, and managing data breach responses.
•Relevant certifications in data protection/privacy (e.g., CISSP, CIPM, CIPP, CPT, CDPSE, or CDPO) are highly preferred.
•Proven leadership capability to direct compliance sub-functions, spearhead training initiatives, and influence technical or product decisions.
