Job Summary

Own manufacturing engineering as parts transition from design to production, building repeatable, sustainable processes in a manual-to-semi-automated environment. Develop test fixtures and protocols, design jigs/fixtures/assembly aids, and introduce automations that improve speed and reliability. Partner with design engineers on design-for-manufacturability while reporting through operations and taking technical direction from the CTO. Start as the first manufacturing engineer and lead a small team within the first year.

Key Responsibilities

•Own manufacturing engineering for parts as they transition off the design team, including tooling, process, and production responsibility.
•Build and run design-to-manufacturing handoffs, deciding what to systematize versus keep flexible before full design lock.
•Develop functional, end-to-end test fixtures and protocols to verify quality on the line.
•Design jigs, fixtures, and assembly aids, and identify automations/semi-automations to improve speed and consistency.
•Build the manufacturing backbone (work instructions, revision/change practices, and production documentation) and hire/mentor a team.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Able to work on-site in Redwood Shores.
