Key Responsibilities

  • •Teach Humanities subjects within the General Studies programme by planning, preparing, and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for diverse student needs.
  • •Provide academic and pastoral support by assessing learning (formative and summative), delivering timely oral and written feedback, and monitoring attendance, behaviour, and progress.
  • •Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement through participation in lesson observations, feedback processes, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • •Maintain accurate student and administrative records within required timescales while following communication, reporting, and performance management requirements.
  • •Comply with QTI health, safety, and environmental policies, complete mandatory SHE training, and promote a safe, disciplined, professional learning environment.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold qualified teacher status or a relevant education and training qualification in a Humanities subject or related field (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., MA, BA, Diploma or equivalent).
  • •Relevant experience teaching Humanities subjects to international students across a range of contexts.
  • •Knowledge and experience teaching Qatar History, Human Rights, Islamic Culture, or Social Studies.
  • •Ability to use teaching and administrative technologies, with strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • •Commitment to cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and continuous improvement (desirable: military setting, Middle East teaching, Arabic).
