Key Responsibilities

  • •Guide the welding engineering discipline and metallurgical consultative welding services for onshore and offshore projects, working independently with minimal guidance.
  • •Create and own welding deliverables including the Project Welding Qualification Execution Plan and review/approval of Project Weld Procedures with customers and certifying authorities.
  • •Select appropriate electrodes based on physical, chemical, and corrosion properties and consider weldability and economics.
  • •Manage training and workforce development via the welding school facility and support the development of automatic welding systems.
  • •Monitor projects during execution and resolve metallurgical, welding, and quality issues by investigating failure causes and initiating fit-for-purpose evaluations; also visit vendors for technical evaluation.

Key Requirements

  • •MS/M Tech/ME in Welding.
  • •BS/BE/B Tech in Welding, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • •8+ years of directly related experience in Welding, Metallurgy and Materials, including subsea pipelines.
  • •C Eng./SenMemWeldI or membership in a professional body (preferred).
  • •Welding Inspection Qualification (preferred).
