Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver a wide portfolio of road projects from pursuit through to completion, or oversee single large-scale commissions.
  • •Oversee the appointment of competent discipline lead engineers and plan/develop engineering tasks, including exploration, scope definition, and investigation of novel concepts.
  • •Provide technical expertise to the design team across multidisciplinary projects from conceptual phases through implementation.
  • •Ensure quality by working through transportation project complexities, helping address client issues as they arise.
  • •Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team, undertake mentoring and line management duties, mitigate contract risk, and monitor project performance/data accuracy while preparing reports and contributing to bids.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered with a relevant institution (e.g., Engineers Ireland, ICE or similar).
  • •Experience in Road and Highways engineering with sign-off on complex transportation designs.
  • •Experience in NTA and TII standards, Project Management Guidelines, and Project Appraisal Guidelines.
  • •Good working knowledge of contracts including PWC/GCC/NEC/FIDIC and associated dispute resolution processes.
  • •Ability to contribute to bid development and commercial outcomes.
