Conduct onboarding reviews to ensure clients meet Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and comply with financial crime and regulatory standards. Perform anti-financial crime checks and CDD/EDD for corporate clients, identify red flags, and make risk-based decisions to onboard or reject applications. Collaborate with the sales team, document cases, support audits, and help improve the onboarding process while assisting supervisor-level responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Safeguard Ebury and client relationships from financial crime risk (e.g., money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions, tax evasion, reputational risk).
•Perform anti-financial crime checks and conduct comprehensive CDD and EDD, including analysis of complex ownership structures, financial statements, and transaction patterns.
•Identify red flags, escalate to Compliance and Senior Management when required, and make risk-based decisions to onboard or reject applications.
•Manage a personal portfolio of onboarding cases, follow up with clients and sales for timely completion, and document client files in a structured, compliant format.
•Support audits, assist with onboarding process improvements and ad-hoc department projects, and validate checks performed by other team members.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 1 year of experience conducting CDD and EDD for individuals and corporate clients, including complex segments such as Trust & Corporate Service Providers, NGOs, and Charities, in Brazil and/or LATAM.
•Fluency in English/Portuguese (or other languages).
•Knowledge of red flags and financial crime typologies relevant to the payments and FX space.
•Proactive ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
•Strong organization and attention to detail, with effective written and verbal communication and independent problem-solving.
