Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete ERIE’s 24-week District Sales Manager Trainee program, including assigned projects and training.
  • •Apply product knowledge to assist operations in agent offices and train agents on product knowledge, underwriting, agency operations, and sales.
  • •Coach and support independent agents to achieve business goals and manage territory performance across sales, underwriting, profitability, and agency management.
  • •Recruit, train, and develop new agents; serve as a trusted business partner and product resource.
  • •Conduct inspections and prepare reports, support hazard reduction recommendations, and represent ERIE with policyholders and claims personnel when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required; or associate’s degree plus two years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience; or high school diploma/GED plus four years of sales, underwriting, claims, or marketing experience.
  • •Master’s degree preferred.
  • •Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • •Willingness to relocate to and reside within the assigned territory.
  • •Successful completion of Life and Property/Casualty licensing exams required to complete training program; valid driver’s license required.
