Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Zurich Canada’s complaints function, ensuring fair, impartial, and timely complaint handling while continuously improving the process with Customer Care and Claims.
  • •Assess compliance risks across business activities, customer conduct, complaints, projects, tools, and systems.
  • •Provide practical guidance on key compliance risks including customer fairness, financial crime, sanctions, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, and data privacy.
  • •Advise first-line teams on Compliance policies, controls, processes, training, and implementation requirements.
  • •Lead Compliance Assurance Reviews, identify gaps, agree on remediation actions, monitor progress, and oversee regulatory matters including GRC updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors Degree in Law and 6+ years of experience in Claims, Marketing, Underwriting or Compliance (or High School Diploma/equivalent with 8+ years, or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 6+ years).
  • •Experience with market conduct examination process and procedures.
  • •Knowledge of national/local compliance laws and regulations.
  • •Experience in compliance, audit, consulting, or regulatory management (preferred).
  • •Complaint handling experience and control testing experience (preferred).
