Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and operate Allianz’s FinOps operating model with policies, governance, roles, and cadences across cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
  • •Unify IT cost data into consolidated dashboards and reporting, building a single source of financial truth across cloud, on-prem, SaaS, and managed services.
  • •Develop unit economics and implement showback/chargeback to allocate costs to business units, product lines, and cost centres transparently.
  • •Own cloud cost optimisation by identifying waste, recommending right-sizing and cost-saving commitments (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, spot/preemptible), and tracking realised savings.
  • •Forecast cloud/infrastructure spend, perform variance/scenario modelling, and negotiate provider contracts and license renewals while reporting ROI and optimisation progress to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent; MBA or Master’s is a plus.
  • •5+ years in IT financial management, cloud cost optimisation, or technology programme finance, including 2+ years in a FinOps role within a large enterprise.
  • •FinOps Certified Practitioner (FinOps Foundation) required; FinOps Certified Professional or FinOps Certified Engineer preferred.
  • •ITIL v4 Foundation certification required; ITIL Specialist (Create, Deliver & Support or Direct, Plan & Improve) preferred.
  • •Expert proficiency with cloud cost management tools (Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer/CUDOS, GCP Billing, and third-party platforms like Apptio, CloudHealth, Flexera, or equivalent).
