Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead cost control for multiple projects or highly complex projects within the programme of works, ensuring cost data supports accurate management decisions.
  • •Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
  • •Establish and maintain an integrated Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the change control process using cost information.
  • •Develop and maintain cost structures and mappings (CBS, WBS, control accounts/work packages) to track and control actual costs.
  • •Produce accruals and update forecasts (Estimate To Complete) while coordinating cost capture requirements, including work orders, requisitions, purchase orders, and subcontract data to monitor cost performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional Project Controls experience specializing in Cost Engineering/Cost Control across the project lifecycle (energy/nuclear desirable but not required).
  • •Detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting, and performance reporting/analysis.
  • •Ability to communicate strongly and demonstrate leadership behaviors, including influencing, managing, motivating, coaching, and developing a team.
  • •Obtain BPSS level security clearance.
  • •Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Association for Project Management or Project Management Institute) and familiarity with cost performance reporting/forecasting techniques.
