Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and operational support for distributed control systems and related automation tools within assigned operating units. Serve as the primary contact for DCS/SIS control issues, troubleshoot problems, optimize loop and alarm performance, and maintain process historian and visualization tools. Support capital projects through commissioning and FAT/SAT, manage control system backups and configuration changes, and ensure compliance with PSM, Operational Excellence, and MOC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary operations and engineering contact for process control, automation, and regulatory control issues.
•Provide technical support for DCS/SIS controls, advanced process control (APC), control strategies, graphics, batch logic, and operator interfaces.
•Troubleshoot process control issues using diagnostics, loop tuning, performance monitoring, and optimization efforts; monitor DCS/SIS health and performance.
•Maintain and govern alarm management (including Master Alarm Database), control system configuration changes, and process historian tags with data integrity.
•Support capital projects and modernization efforts (design reviews, implementation, commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT) and ensure compliance with PSM, Operational Excellence (OE), and MOC requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 137,920 - 206,880 annually

Key Requirements

•Associates degree in a related field.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries.
•Minimum 5 years in Control Systems Engineering (CSE), Console Operations, or I&E.
•Working knowledge of process control, computer networking systems, or programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
•Ability to plan and manage the work of a small group of resources for installation, repair, diagnostics, testing, or upgrades of process control systems.
