Key Responsibilities

  • •Conceptualize and execute ambitious editorial projects, pieces and series that go beyond the daily news cycle to provide lasting insight.
  • •Manage and edit a portfolio of New York Times columnists, providing high-touch guidance on narrative arc, voice and argument.
  • •Partner across design, multimedia and audience teams to ensure that Opinion's most important work reaches its widest possible impact.
  • •Identify, recruit, and develop new voices to expand the breadth and depth of Opinion's coverage, ensuring a diverse and provocative range of perspectives.
  • •Oversee the lifecycle of commentary from pitch to publication, ensuring every piece meets the highest standards of intellectual honesty and literary excellence.
