Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for the planning, design, and delivery of high-voltage overhead transmission line projects up to 765kV. Lead engineering execution, maintain schedules, run weekly/bi-weekly coordination meetings, and support client and QA/QC activities. Apply transmission design expertise using PLS-CADD and related deliverables, support PM scope/schedule/budget work, and mentor staff while traveling to client and field/vendor locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and execute engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV, including project execution layout and schedule ownership.
•Conduct weekly or bi-weekly project meetings and coordinate with clients on project status and deliverables.
•Facilitate and adhere to WSP QA/QC procedures and support construction activities as part of project delivery.
•Demonstrate transmission line design expertise including PLS-CADD work and deliverables such as structure staking, foundations, and construction estimates/support.
•Support Project Manager activities by providing status reports, helping develop scope/schedule/budget, and leading/supporting client meetings in person and remotely.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
•7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in the electrical transmission industry delivering capital project design for power transmission and distribution.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state preferred).
•Understanding of NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
•Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
