Job Summary

Structural Engineer IV based in Orange or Los Angeles, CA, will support a range of projects across entertainment, commercial, industrial, government, detention, and parking structures with a focus on seismic design, retrofits, and advanced structural analysis methods. You’ll work independently, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to design decisions within the Buildings + Places group for LA28 and other major projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform structural analysis and design for assigned portions of projects and coordinate with other design disciplines to prepare contract documents
•Gathers and correlates engineering data using established procedures and ensures compliance with codes and company standards
•Mentor and provide guidance to entry level engineers and junior staff
•Work with minimal supervision to complete primary design elements for structural works and manage time/budget constraints
•Lead or collaborate on moderately sized structural design projects and tasks, coordinating with senior engineers on large projects

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering and 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•US Citizenship due to federal contract/security requirements
•Master of Science (with structural engineering concentration) (Preferred)
•Professional License in California (SE) (Preferred)
•Demonstrated experience applying major structural design codes (IBC, CBC, ASCE 7) and using 3-D structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, SAFE)
•Experience designing in Steel, Concrete, Masonry, and Timber with wind and seismic lateral design knowledge
