Job Summary

Lead traffic engineering and transport planning for international road design and infrastructure projects, with a focus on the UK & Ireland and US markets. Perform traffic analysis, modelling, and delivery verification, and support feasibility studies, impact assessments, and mobility planning. Design traffic signals schemes and work on ITS/TEO/TMC initiatives, providing technical leadership, quality oversight, and mentorship across multidisciplinary teams while preparing client-ready reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

•Be accountable for traffic engineering and transport planning, including modelling delivery and verification across transport projects.
•Work on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Engineering & Operations (TEO), and Traffic Management Center (TMC) projects.
•Support feasibility studies, impact assessments, and mobility planning, and conduct transport/traffic analysis for road design and infrastructure planning.
•Design and deliver traffic signals schemes.
•Mentor teams and provide technical leadership and quality oversight on transport planning and modelling deliverables, preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transport Systems Engineering.
•8+ years of relevant experience in transport planning and modelling.
•Experience with transportation planning studies, traffic analysis and modelling, and design of transportation/traffic infrastructure.
•Strong proficiency with tools including LinSIG, SATURN, Synchro, Sidra, Junctions, TRICS, and ArcGIS.
•Familiarity with US or UK & Ireland transportation planning standards (e.g., FHWA, AASHTO, DFT/Highways England Standards, TSM Chapter 6).
