Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide daily oversight of North American discretionary equity portfolios, including monitoring for style drift and outsized concentration risks or stress exposures.
  • •Research risk and portfolio construction inquiries from investment teams and firm management, including ad hoc requests from investment professionals and senior management.
  • •Perform performance attribution analysis to diagnose problems and enable risk takers to respond to adverse events and adjust capital allocation.
  • •Engage with PMs and risk takers to understand risk/reward dynamics and actively manage drawdowns and sub-optimal portfolio construction decisions.
  • •Direct enhancements to proprietary analytics and support ongoing education on monitoring tool outputs, including formulating forward-looking views for escalation to firm management.

Salary: USD 225,000 - 275,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in statistics/econometrics, mathematics or financial engineering.
  • •5-10 years of experience in a similar role on the buyside.
  • •Prior experience with discretionary equity strategies.
  • •Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • •In-depth knowledge of equity multi-factor equity models and applications, with procedural programming proficiency (R/Python) and strong communication skills.
