Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain proper entries and records on the Hospital Information System (Insta).
  • •Prepare patients and perform EEG and NCS procedures, producing high-quality tracings and eliminating artifacts.
  • •Set up and apply special EEG techniques including photic stimulation, hyperventilation, adult/pediatric montages, and long-term video EEG electrode pasting; handle ICU and pediatric EEG recordings and related electrographic events.
  • •Perform and/or support EMG procedures, including keeping log book records of EEG and EMG procedures.
  • •Care for electrodes and machines, make minor adjustments, maintain apparatus stock (paper, electrodes, paste, jelly, EMG needles), store equipment properly, and coordinate with colleagues to keep lab functioning and emergency services available.

Key Requirements

  • •DOH Licensed.
  • •Hold a certificate/diploma/bachelor qualification in Neurotechnology.
  • •Be well versed in preparing patients and recording high-quality EEG and nerve-muscle tracings, including detecting and eliminating artifacts.
  • •Have theoretical, technical, and practical knowledge of special EEG techniques (photic stimulation, hyperventilation, adult and pediatric EEG montages, long-term video EEG electrode pasting, ICU recordings, pediatric EEGs, and electrographic events).
  • •Have knowledge of NCS procedures (repetitive nerve stimulation, comparative and special nerve studies such as blink reflex) and be able to do or learn evoked potentials and intra-operative peripheral/brain surface recordings.
