Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct research on applied data science topics for customers across defence, security, and commercial sectors.
  • •Work with and be trained by teams focused on reinforcement learning, NLP, knowledge graphs and graph-based neural nets, AI for RF/EW, and sonar/acoustics.
  • •Undertake novel research in given topic areas, often in partnership with leading universities.
  • •Develop prototypes and proof of concept demonstrators.
  • •Prepare technical reports and proposals.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 25,900

Key Requirements

  • •Obtain (or be predicted to obtain) a 2:2 undergraduate degree in a relevant STEM subject such as Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Electronic/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering, or Physics.
  • •An AI-related Master’s degree will be beneficial for future graduate roles.
  • •Demonstrate an active interest in Applied AI research.
  • •All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard, subject to security and export control restrictions.
  • •Attend your site 3–5 days per week for this role.
