Key Responsibilities

  • •Support implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Insurance Solutions risk management framework, ensuring consistent risk identification, assessment, ownership, monitoring, and reporting.
  • •Maintain risk registers and action logs across relevant entities, tracking overdue items and supporting timely escalation of material issues and threshold breaches.
  • •Engage with risk owners to identify existing, new, and emerging risks, agree risk ratings, and support controls, mitigations, and action plans.
  • •Prepare regular and ad-hoc risk MI, dashboards, and reporting packs for boards, risk committees, and leadership forums, including top risks and control effectiveness.
  • •Assist with client and financial crime risk assessments, compliance monitoring plans, and oversight of the Appointed Representatives network, including preparation of board and committee materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Several years of experience in a risk and compliance environment, preferably within the insurance sector.
  • •Strong understanding of risk management, including designing and implementing risk management frameworks.
  • •Experience maintaining risk registers, action plans, and governance documentation.
  • •Solid understanding of FCA regulatory rules and how changes affect the wholesale and retail market, including PRIN, ICOBS, SYSC, PROD and SUP.
  • •Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, with strong written and verbal communication and the ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
