Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, iterate, and maintain youth safety and well-being policies to ensure age-appropriate content with harm prevention and youth autonomy.
  • •Ensure youth harm policies and standards are clear, enforceable, and consistent with international child protection frameworks and legal obligations.
  • •Support youth-specific feature and product policy approaches, including account defaults, recommendations, parental controls, and interaction features.
  • •Engage external stakeholders to incorporate outside expertise into TikTok platform policies related to youth safety and well-being.
  • •Partner with Policy Enforcement, Operations, and Product to develop and improve human and AI-driven moderation systems.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, child protection policy, public policy, law, prevention science, social work, or a related field focused on child/adolescent safety and well-being.
  • •Deep understanding of the harm landscape affecting youth online, including CSAM, harmful content, and developmental risks specific to this age group.
  • •Familiarity with current and emerging online youth regulatory requirements, including age-appropriate design codes and youth online safety regimes.
  • •Strong ability to synthesize complex child safety and well-being topics for internal and external audiences, including communicating policy trade-offs and implications.
  • •Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with product, technical, legal, and operations teams.
