Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive a tri-axle or single/multi-axle dump truck to transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • •Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and perform routine service and operating adjustments as needed.
  • •Drive to job sites and position the truck for loading by the loader or plant operator/storage bin.
  • •Lower the bed of the truck and drive to be loaded again.
  • •Communicate effectively with the team and follow verbal and written instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Operate a tri-axle or single/multi-axle dump truck safely and efficiently.
  • •Perform pre- and post-trip inspections (e.g., oil, water, horn, lights, tires, wipers, fire extinguisher, fuel, seat belt) and make normal operating adjustments.
  • •Must have a Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with necessary endorsements per 49 CFR 383.91 (Group B or Group A).
  • •Follow verbal and written instructions and understand different types and sizes of aggregates.
  • •Be able to lift/move 10–30 lbs occasionally and perform tasks such as climbing/sitting/driving and shifting gears.
