Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement Real Time Optimization (RTO) applications in Refinery and Petrochemical units based on AVEVA APO software.
  • •Maintain the RTO applications installed base.
  • •Act as technical interface with customers, establishing professional relationships to ensure that project requirements are defined and agreed.
  • •Ensure engineered solutions meet project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and documentation; troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • •Monitor and control assigned work scope against the project plan, manage change control and identify risks/opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •Chemical Process and/or Control Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Optimization of Refinery and/or Petrochemical operations and/or planning.
  • •Expert user of rigorous refinery process simulation packages or expert in advanced control applied to Refinery and Petrochemical or both.
  • •Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
  • •Experience implementing Real Time Optimization (RTO) applications in refinery/petrochemical units using AVEVA Process Optimization (APO) software.
  • •Familiarity with PI Asset Framework and PI Vision; programming skills in TCL, Python, Excel VBA, SQL would be a plus.
