Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using tools and instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and federal regulations; complete DOT forms and repair order documentation using a company iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as 5 years’ experience).
  • •Ability to perform work in a mobile/field environment with required physical demands (lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking for long periods).
  • •Possess and supply the set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card with sufficient validity, or completion of a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
