Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a gravure printing press to develop printed material in accordance with customer specifications.
  • •Prepare the press and perform make-ready tasks, including mixing inks/solvents, matching inks, resolving defects, and adjusting to maintain speed and quality.
  • •Monitor press operation by checking viscosity timing, keeping solvent/ink containers filled, and addressing issues such as jams.
  • •Ensure quality by reviewing jobs for accuracy and inspecting cartons for color, register, cutting, creasing, and defects; complete required checklists.
  • •Maintain EHS and clean compliance, follow PPE and hazardous materials/waste handling procedures, and coach press crew on safe work practices.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or GED) and a minimum of 3 years of press operation with specific gravure printing and troubleshooting experience.
  • •Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • •Basic computer skills and mathematical skills to compute percentages, weights, and measures.
  • •Must be able to rotate shifts and work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary.
  • •Must be able to perform repetitive functions and additional tasks as required by department/shift leads or management.
