Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare monthly Opco reports, sub-product reports, client profitability MI, and analytical reviews including actuals vs forecast/target.
  • •Own end-to-end data, reporting, and analysis, delivering value-adding commentaries and supporting annual operating plan/latest estimate/outturn for HSBC group.
  • •Conduct moderate to complex financial analysis using existing/new financial models, including research and development of financial assumptions with business partners.
  • •Oversee cost reporting and ensure accurate, timely submission of data (including journals) into ledgers and reporting systems, including validations and reconciliations.
  • •Manage query management and contribute to FRP/forecasting, budgeting, boundary changes, and change projects, including review/challenge and support for automation/visualizations.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified Accountant (CA, CWA, MBA, PG Commerce, Graduate Commerce) with +4 years post-qualification experience in financial and management reporting (preferred).
  • •Relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis with strong working knowledge of reporting and automation tools, including Qlik, Python, Tableau and Qliksense.
  • •Strong working knowledge of financial systems or data consolidation models (e.g., Omnia, TM1, HUB, FTP or similar systems) (preferred).
  • •Knowledge/experience of data mining, financial statements, audit and controls.
  • •Commercial acumen with good knowledge of banking business drivers across P&L revenue, cost and balance sheet (highly desirable).
