Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply hydraulic principles for river, storm and wastewater infrastructure planning, including stormwater networks, culverts, bridges, and open channel/2D surface flows.
  • •Interpret hydraulic model outputs and develop hydrologic and urban hydrology models to support hydraulic modelling.
  • •Build, update, and test hydraulic modelling scenarios using Innovyze ICM and/or Tuflow, including schematisation, input assessment, gap analysis, validation and calibration, and floodplain/hazard mapping.
  • •Ensure model accuracy across model build, demand analysis & allocation, calibration, and masterplanning, applying quality assurance protocols to meet schedule and budget.
  • •Liaise with sector leadership across India and New Zealand, review junior colleagues’ work, and communicate technical risks, findings, and client-ready reports/presentations.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in hydraulic modelling for large-scale river, storm and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • •At least 4+ years hands-on experience using TuFlow/Innovyze ICM.
  • •Highly proficient in ICM for stormwater hydraulic modelling or Tuflow for river hydraulic modelling.
  • •Capable of using ArcGIS or QGIS to deliver stormwater and/or river hydraulic modelling projects.
  • •Experience producing client-ready reports and presentations and applying engineering judgement and best practices to technical decisions.
