The Jewellery Expert guides clients through Hermès Fine Jewellery with deep gemmological knowledge, translating complex craftsmanship into clear, emotionally resonant storytelling. You’ll educate clients and colleagues, elevate knowledge across the UK subsidiary, and support in-store activations while staying ahead of market trends and maintaining discretion and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the primary in-store GB Subsiduary expert for Fine Jewellery, with deep knowledge of gemstones, craftsmanship and exceptional pieces; guide clients with confidence and discretion, fostering understanding and appreciation without a sales-driven approach, and support appointments and long-term relationships with Client Relationship Specialists.
•Act as a reference point and mentor, elevating Fine Jewellery knowledge across the Maison & GB subsidiary; collaborate with Training to deliver formal and informal training and translate complex gemmological information into clear narratives.
•Maintain an active connection to the Fine Jewellery ecosystem, staying informed on trends, market movements and influential players; integrate external perspective into storytelling and team development.
•Provide feedback to Retail Merchandising and leadership teams on client interests, product performance and buying opportunities; support in-store activations and cross-category collaboration; structure training plans and communicate tool/resource updates to the wider team.
•Collaborate across métiers to enrich client journeys, assist Sales and Service Support with technical queries, and foster a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience as a Fine Jewellery specialist within a luxury environment
•Strong gemmological expertise with deep understanding of gemstones, sourcing and craftsmanship
•GIA certification (or equivalent) strongly preferred
•Well-connected and knowledgeable within the Fine Jewellery world, including collectors, auctions, trends and key industry voices
•Ability to translate complex technical knowledge into clear, engaging and emotionally resonant storytelling
