Job Summary

Support and sustain engineering laboratory equipment and work cells for training, development, and validation of manufacturing technologies. Perform hands-on installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, inspections, and documentation under moderate supervision. Assist with engineering equipment development, data collection, and commissioning activities. Help advance Connected Assets by installing and validating industrial networking hardware and IIoT connectivity, including routine connectivity troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

•Sustain engineering laboratory equipment, work cells, and training systems through inspections, preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and functional checks.
•Coordinate calibration, service, vendor support, and maintain equipment records, configuration info, spare parts, and documentation.
•Assist engineers with equipment development, testing, troubleshooting, test data collection, and commissioning support.
•Install and modify electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation components according to drawings and instructions.
•Support Connected Assets by installing industrial networking hardware/edge devices/sensors and validating communications while troubleshooting connectivity issues.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
•Read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
•Provide hands-on support for industrial automation, controls, and/or networking concepts.
•Willingness to travel (could be up to 25%).
•Experience supporting engineering laboratory or manufacturing equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, is preferred.
