Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft proposals and develop scopes for EHV projects and create detailed engineering drawings for AIS/GIS substations (11kV to 400kV, emphasis on 132kV+).
  • •Develop designs to support detailed engineering (land utilisation, elevations, conduit layouts, grounding, BOMs, lighting, protection) and produce execution plans.
  • •Apply NGTS/IEC/IEEE design standards; ensure compliance with CDM and UK health & safety requirements; mentor junior engineers.
  • •Coordinate design activities across Civil/Structural, Networks, and Transmission Line teams; conduct design reviews and client collaborations.
  • •Manage project schedules and cost estimates; deliver high-quality design packages and provide FEED-stage consultancy and technical reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Five to ten years of experience in Substation Transmission & Distribution, Renewable (Onshore & Offshore wind/ Solar), and BESS projects.
  • •Preferably familiar with UK projects; experience in lead substation design roles on UK utilities (e.g., National Grid) is an asset.
  • •Thorough knowledge of UK Technical Specifications, Guidance Notes, and Design Handbooks for substations; understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • •Experience with software such as CDEGS and WinIGS; familiarity with 3D engineering design tools is desirable.
