Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain safety, health, and environment principles, ensuring compliance with legal, environmental, occupational health, safety, and risk management standards.
  • •Develop and manage improved technical standards and systems to support internal production targets and improve asset utilisation and productivity.
  • •Analyse production asset performance trends, identify barriers to production effectiveness, and implement corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
  • •Plan and support projects and new technology initiatives, preparing activities before commencement, overseeing contractors, and monitoring post-implementation outcomes.
  • •Manage direct reports and optimise human resources via training plans, and support annual budget compilation and cost control within approved budgets.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12.
  • •B.Eng. / BSc in Mining, Mechanical, IT or Industrial Engineering (NQF7); Honours advantageous (NQF8 preferred).
  • •A3 Safety Certificate.
  • •6–8 years operational and dispatch technical experience across a mining value chain process, including 3 years supervisory experience.
  • •Proficiency in dispatch system (Modular) and SAP preferred; SA Drivers Licence Code B.
