Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, configure, and commission Canon wide format inkjet printers and associated finishing equipment, including customer handovers and operator training.
  • •Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnose/repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, firmware, and software-related faults.
  • •Replace and calibrate components such as printheads, carriage assemblies, curing systems, ink delivery systems, and media handling mechanisms.
  • •Provide wide format inkjet technical support, including troubleshooting print quality issues and performing printhead alignments and colour calibrations.
  • •Respond to service calls within SLA, deliver customer-ready technical recommendations, and liaise with Canon technical support teams when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Technical Diploma, National Diploma, Trade Qualification, or equivalent in Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  • •Valid driver’s license.
  • •3-5 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer supporting production printing or wide format printing equipment.
  • •Hands-on experience with UV and solvent printing systems.
  • •Experience configuring and supporting ONYX workflow software and knowledge of colour management/ICC profiling in RIP software environments.
