Job Summary

Operate heavy trucks and trailers to deliver rental equipment efficiently and safely from the Jackson facility. Use the company’s technology to access fleet locations, work orders, and delivery details in real time, while complying with state and federal transportation laws. Handle loading and unloading with specialized equipment, maintain shipping documentation, and perform routine truck service while coordinating maintenance needs with the Shipping Supervisor. Monday–Friday schedule with overtime and possible on-call scheduling.

Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
•Transport loads safely and timely along required routes, following traffic laws and safety regulations.
•Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
•Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment; return equipment to designated areas.
•Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (bills of lading) and deliver documentation to the shipping office when complete; perform routine truck service and report malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

•Must hold either a Class A CDL or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight.
•Must pass background and drug testing per federal/state transportation regulations.
•Must pass a DOT physical as trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
•Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
•Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
