Job Summary

Perform aerodrome aviation safety duties at the airside to ensure compliance with national and international safety regulations. Conduct daily inspections and audits, weekly stakeholder inspections, and spot checks across vehicles, equipment, construction sites, and airport areas. Monitor ramp and back-up runway operations, manage FOD program compliance, support incident/accident preliminary investigations, and coordinate emergency response with relevant parties.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct daily apron and manoeuvring area inspections and weekly stakeholder joint inspections, completing activity reports/checklists.
•Provide reports on safety findings or breaches, issue violations when necessary, and upload reports to the Airside Operations Reporting System while following up with stakeholders.
•Implement and monitor compliance of the Foreign Object Debris (FOD) program; assist with preliminary investigations for incidents or accidents.
•Ensure safe site control related to vehicle movement and aircraft parking, including monitoring ramp activity and flight turnaround operations.
•Attend emergencies when required and coordinate with Airside Operations, ARFFS, and the Ministry of Interior; support aircraft recovery procedures as instructed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Safety, Airport Operations, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
•Knowledge of ICAO standards and other national and international aviation safety standards and recommended practices.
•NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is an advantage.
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in aviation or the private industry (desirable).
•Ability to carry out inspections, audits, reporting, investigations support, and monitoring of airside safety activities.
