Job Summary

Join the PLO team as a Principal Electrical Component Engineer responsible for components engineering and applications engineering for airborne, ground, and missile platforms. Lead parts selection, standardization, and verification activities, interfacing with design, SCM, POL, PDE, ECAD, PMO, and external suppliers to support LRIP and production phases on DoD programs at onsite Tucson, AZ.

Key Responsibilities

•Understand program requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs) to determine program component environmental /characteristic application requirements.
•Provide technology insertion and parts selection/standardization guidance while adhering to business, component parametric, environmental and circuit application constraints.
•Generate and revise component drawings and associated verification data packages.
•Review electronic component and assembly reliability and construction data, and preparation of such data to facilitate Part and Material Control Board review and adjudication.
•Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers/manufacturers to develop component risk and verification delineation.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
•Experience with a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical part commodities including integrated circuits, semiconductors, and passive devices
•Knowledge of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military and aerospace flight applications
•Knowledge of Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, and associated QPLs and QMLs
•Experience with BOM development and management for developmental and production programs
