Job Summary

Own ranging and assortment decisions for core layout space within the Space, Range & Formats team. Use category and customer insight to create tailored range classes and planograms that deliver a consistent, easy-to-shop experience. Partner with Category Pods to translate commercial plans into retail reality, ensure planograms are accurate and on time, and use Tableau and Dunnhumby to review performance and identify improvement opportunities. Hybrid role based in Bracknell.

Key Responsibilities

•Own ranging and assortment decisions for core layout space and ensure the product mix reflects quality and value on the shelf.
•Apply the ‘Customer Mission’ approach to deliver tailored ranges and layouts that support local relevance and shop-ability.
•Participate in Category Pods to provide the Space and Range perspective and represent the customer voice in layout discussions.
•Create and maintain visually impactful planograms that are commercially optimised, operationally efficient, accurate, and on time.
•Review category performance using Tableau and Dunnhumby and provide feedback on packaging design to support stocking and shelf-space maximisation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 38,400 - 57,600 annually

Key Requirements

•Retail experience with a basic understanding of merchandising, range planning, or layout principles.
•Customer-centric mindset with an ability to create layouts reflecting specific shopping missions and habits.
•Proficiency in (or strong desire to learn) space management systems such as Relex CCM and high IT literacy.
•Solid analytical skills using Excel and Tableau to interpret category data and identify trends or stock issues.
•Commercial fluency across retail finance and space metrics such as Profit Density, Weighted Distribution, and Stocking Point logic.
