Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership for the electrical components of multi-disciplinary industrial projects.
  • •Interact with clients from conceptual phases to detailed design and guide the electrical engineering team through mentoring.
  • •Lead the electrical engineering effort on Canadian and US projects, including power system studies, equipment specifications and vendor management.
  • •Prepare detailed proposals and estimates for complex mining projects and review outputs for quality and completeness.
  • •Coordinate with vendors, review vendor documentation, and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •20+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • •At least 10 years of experience leading the electrical discipline on large minerals and metals projects.
  • •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university (North American preferred).
  • •Must be a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia or able to register within ~3 months of hire (PE in the US is an asset).
  • •Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset.
