Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and coordinate engineering design lifecycle from concept through detailed design, procurement, manufacture, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • •Ensure engineering activities comply with safety, regulatory and company standards; identify and manage engineering-related risks.
  • •Drive project integration and manage engineering deliverables through concept, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design and execution stages, supporting stage-gate approvals.
  • •Lead engineering design reviews and technical assurance across all phases, including verification/validation/approval and resolution of design gaps and interface issues.
  • •Support procurement and execution by defining technical requirements, evaluating bid responses and supplier deliverables, and providing engineering readiness and modification support during execution.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 / Equivalent NQF Level 4.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • •Professional registration or working towards registration (advantageous).
  • •8-15 years’ experience in engineering and capital project environments within mining, processing or heavy industry.
  • •Proven experience managing engineering activities across the complete project lifecycle (concept design through commissioning), including design review and technical assurance.
