Job Summary

Senior ICT Application Developer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining PL/1 applications that support Allianz Business Systems. You will perform system maintenance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate business requirements into technical solutions, conduct code reviews, and create detailed documentation to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivered in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, test and debug PL/1 applications to meet organizational requirements and align with industry standards.
•Monitor, enhance, and troubleshoot existing PL/1 applications to improve performance and functionality.
•Work in partnership with business analysts, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
•Conduct comprehensive code reviews and testing to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements.
•Create, update, and manage detailed technical documentation for PL/1 applications to support ongoing system maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Key Requirements

•Proven experience as a PL/1 Developer or a similar role in software development.
•Proficient in PL/1 programming language with hands-on experience in application development.
•Expertise in working within Linux environments with Micro Focus and associated technologies as well as familiarity with database management systems such as DB2.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•Practical knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and methodologies.
