Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and transport loads safely on required routes.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork; deliver documentation after route completion.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical for vehicles over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
  • •Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and remain focused in a busy environment.
