Job Summary

Oversee installation- and contract-specific safety and occupational health requirements at Letterkenny Army Depot. Manage a Safety and Occupational Health Program aligned to OSHA and Army/DoD standards, including developing safety plans, conducting inspections and hazard assessments, and leading accident investigations with root-cause and corrective actions. Deliver required safety training (LOTO, confined space, forklift/material handling, hazard communication), maintain JHAs and emergency procedures, monitor environmental/industrial hygiene requirements, and track safety metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, implement, and manage a Safety and Occupational Health Program aligned with OSHA and Army/DoD standards.
•Conduct inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across shops, warehouses, administrative spaces, and production lines.
•Lead accident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
•Coordinate mandatory safety training, including hazard communication, PPE usage, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, forklift/material handling, and equipment-specific modules.
•Maintain safety documentation (Safety Management Plan, JHAs, emergency response procedures) and track/report safety metrics, trends, and near-misses to drive continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 83,157 - 141,617 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or related field (experience may substitute).
•5+ years of safety management experience in a depot, manufacturing, maintenance, industrial, or DoD environment.
•Working knowledge of OSHA standards, Army safety regulations, and DoD industrial safety protocols.
•Experience conducting inspections, hazard analyses, and accident investigations.
•Ability to interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, SDS documentation, and equipment safety requirements.
