Key Responsibilities

  • •Support hardware design of an optical transceiver and evaluation boards to meet product specifications, including schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB design guidance, DFM review, and verification testing.
  • •Design 100G/lane and 200G/lane module PCBA, own schematic and layout execution, and manage PDN and PI/SI requirements.
  • •Own PCBA design from concept through final design and EVT/DVT phases of the product.
  • •Maintain hardware design documentation (specifications, design checklists, BOM) and lead design reviews with risk/mitigation plans.
  • •Troubleshoot and optimize sub-system/transceiver module board performance and collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, optical/photonics, firmware, process, test).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or Master’s with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years in Electrical Engineering or similar STEM field.
  • •3+ years of experience in HW/circuit design, schematic design, and layout floor planning.
  • •Experience using Cadence tools for schematic and layout.
  • •High density and high-speed multiple-layer board design, including voltage regulator, uController, DAC/ADCs component selection and layout optimization.
  • •Ability to support PCB bring-up and laboratory optical/electrical measurement, including high speed Tline design/layout for NRZ and PAM4 and familiarity with micro-controller/communication protocols (SPI, I2C, MDIO, CMIS).
