Key Responsibilities

  • •Own application engineering strategy and execution across backend, mobile, and desktop.
  • •Design reliable AI workflow systems, including state management, orchestration, tool use, retries, fallbacks, and failure handling.
  • •Build APIs and abstractions connecting AI systems to real-world product experiences.
  • •Lead a small, senior engineering team via design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on mentorship.
  • •Drive production foundations: observability, monitoring, testing, and operational excellence, while balancing latency, reliability, cost, security, and UX.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience leading application or product engineering for complex systems.
  • •Strong hands-on background building and shipping backend systems in production.
  • •Experience building AI-powered products or systems integrating modern ML/LLM capabilities.
  • •Deep technical judgment to make decisions with incomplete information.
  • •Comfort working across backend and client platforms with deep expertise in at least one area.
