Job Summary

Provide day-to-day legal support for Canadian employment law within the Legal Department’s Employment Law team. Advise HR, compliance, and business leaders on hiring, discipline, accommodations, leaves, investigations, regulatory and corporate governance matters. Monitor employment/privacy developments in Canada, review and draft employment agreements and policies, and support responses to employment claims and government inquiries while assisting senior counsel on special projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide day-to-day legal support on Canadian employment matters, including hiring, discipline, accommodations, leaves, workplace policies, employee relations, and terminations.
•Support HR and management with workplace investigations and employment-related disputes.
•Support compliance initiatives such as policy development, training programs, regulatory compliance reviews, and internal investigations.
•Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting employment, privacy, and compliance obligations in Canada.
•Review, draft, and update employment-related agreements, policies, notices, and respond to employment claims, government inquiries, and regulatory matters.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 111,892 - 167,838

Key Requirements

•Law degree (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and membership in good standing with a Canadian provincial law society.
•1–4 years of legal experience, preferably in employment law, labor law, compliance, litigation, or general corporate practice.
•Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
