Key Responsibilities

  • •Facilitate smooth transition of loans from processing to closing by coordinating with mortgage production staff and settlement companies/attorneys.
  • •Review loan registration confirmations against underwriting approvals for rates, products, and terms.
  • •Review closing instructions and Closing Disclosures to ensure compliance with federal, state, investor, and company guidelines.
  • •Request and review preliminary HUD-1 Settlement Statements for RESPA compliance and communicate required corrections.
  • •Prepare and electronically deliver closing documents, confirm closings occurred as scheduled, update tracking status, and register new loans in MERS.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s degree is preferred.
  • •At least one (1) year of current mortgage lending experience.
  • •Knowledge of RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act) guidelines.
  • •Attention to detail, strong communication, organization, and mathematical/analytical skills.
  • •Must not appear on the Freddie Mac Exclusionary List/Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) or be restricted from participating in HUD programs (verified semi-annually).
