Job Summary

We have a great opportunity for an EHV Cables Project Manager to join the UK Transmission and Distribution team. You will project manage pre-construction and construction activities for large-scale high voltage infrastructure (33kV-400kV), coordinating with customers and internal/external teams, and acting as Designer/Principal Designer under CDM for EHV cable projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Project manage the development and delivery of EHV Cable projects (33kV up to 132kV) to time, cost, safety and quality.
•Interface with customers and internal/external resources to develop and deliver EHV Cable projects.
•Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed EHV Cable projects.
•Communicate effectively with internal engineering and industrial resources to coordinate activities.
•Visit sites to assess project requirements, monitor progress, and conduct safety audits.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering.
•Experience managing medium-large scale EHV Cable projects (33kV up to 132kV) throughout the full project lifecycle (initiation, design, tendering, construction, energisation, closeout).
•Good understanding of electrical distribution plant items (Switchgear, Power Transformers, Overhead lines).
•Knowledge of applicable engineering standards.
•Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and CDM requirements; ability to undertake the role of Designer and Principal Designer under CDM regulations.
