Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop initial functional requirements for EHV (33kV to 132kV) projects into compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • •Project manage the development and delivery of EHV cable projects (33kV to 132kV) to time, cost, safety, and quality.
  • •Interface with customers and internal/external resources to develop and deliver EHV cable projects.
  • •Act as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed EHV cable projects.
  • •Coordinate external service providers, administer commercial activities, and visit sites to assess requirements, monitor progress, and conduct safety audits.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering.
  • •Experience managing medium-large scale EHV cable projects (33kV to 132kV) across the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • •Understanding of electrical distribution plant items such as switchgear, power transformers, and overhead lines.
  • •Knowledge of applicable engineering standards.
  • •Excellent understanding of H&S and CDM requirements, including the ability to act as ‘Designer’ and/or ‘Principal Designer’, with ability to travel to client sites and offices in North East England and Yorkshire.
