Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate cranes/equipment to lift, move, and place loads while preventing overload by determining and verifying load weights.
  • •Load or unload bundles from trucks and move material to/from containers using moving equipment.
  • •Avoid hazards and obstructions by coordinating with other workers using hand or audio signals.
  • •Inspect crane mechanisms and lifting accessories, and report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to supervisors.
  • •Support internal control responsibilities, communicate upward issues/noncompliance, and perform basic scrap sorting.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED certification required.
  • •Related training or experience operating different types of cranes preferred.

  • •Ability to perform physical duties required for operating cranes, including continuous handling of controls and observing loads.
