Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive improvements to vehicle design by closely integrating with hardware teams.
  • •Provide critical peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews, including confirming acceptance and qualification test campaigns.
  • •Develop tools and methods to ensure accurate and well-disseminated design criteria.
  • •Ensure cohesive evolution of designs and operations across technical teams such as avionics, propulsion, structures, launch, manufacturing, analysis, and test.
  • •Perform rapid conceptual design, analysis, and testing cycles on development hardware (including CAD modeling and testing oversight as needed).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of experience with mechanical design, manufacturing, and/or analysis (internship experience qualifies).
  • •Experience with aerospace structure systems including design, analysis, testing, and fabrication for high-performance or safety-critical applications.
  • •Hands-on experience with manufacturing tools and processes such as mills, lathes, electronics assembly, and composite layup.
  • •Scripting and data analysis experience using Visual Basic, Matlab, Python, and Excel.
